Five off-beat ways to get a date in Boston: Face it, you have no game

I’m just Googling the shit out of life over here today [rather than researching topics for my thesis, shhhh], and kind of looking for things to do in Boston to keep me sane outside my million-hour-work-week schedule, and I came upon this. Really, I’m only reblogging for my Boston-based homies because be it my roommates or my friends, I always hear the same complaint: There’s nowhere to meet people.

In a city overwhelmed with about three hundred colleges [that’s an exaggeration], I will admit that you’re sort of left feeling screwed once you’re above an acceptable age range of getting with undergrads. Sometimes you’re just at a point where it feels necessary to check IDs before speaking to anyone at a bar. I mean, holler if you hear me that you’re chatting up some hot-enough piece, then you realize 30 minutes later that he’s got a chem test on Tuesday and, oh shit, what the fuck dude.

Anyway, I’m currently checking out some of these suggestions, if even because Boston’s got this underbelly of a world that, even eight years in, I’m still not able to navigate. There are so many things to do and see and be a part of, so many ways to connect with people, and I’m still going to after-work cocktails in the Financial District hoping to meet some non-douchebags [good luck].
